my list of 12

In yesterday's post, I mentioned that I was going to be repeating what I did last year and creating 12 resolutions for 2013, one for each month.  Today is day one of the New Year {cue hallelujah!} and I thought it would be fun to share my 12 with you.  I would love for you to join me on this journey, if you haven't made your list yet, it's not too late!  Read all about it {here}.

Okay, ready?  Here we go:
Get the workshop in order.
I have been so busy since moving in to the new workshop that I haven't taken the time to get it the way I want it and make it WORK for me.  30 days to transforming the space, losing the clutter and making it function in the way it has all the potential to.
Paperwork marathon.
Scan, shred, file, purge.  Get caught up and get ready for tax season.
Rise and SHINE.
I could go on and on about this one and all that goes along with it, but basically, I want to develop the habit of rising early {instead of hitting snooze seventeen times and rolling out of bed at the last possible second and then spending the first hour of my day in a complete frenzy}.  This one is strategically placed in March, to coordinate with the time change.
Run 30 for 30.
This was my favorite from last year.  I wrote all about it {here}.  It is worth doing again.  It was awesome.  I could use another month of awesome.
Take London Reid to the next level.
Lots of thoughts and details about this...but I am gonna leave it vague til then.
Photograph and blog the beauty in every day.
I'll be writing every day in the month of June.  I'm excited, but also scared to death about this one - I think that's what makes for an awesome resolution.
Get outside every day.
We live at the beach and July is the perfect time to soak up the summer and be grateful for the beauty all around.  Bike, swim, walk, run, paddle...just get out there!
Keep a gratitude journal.
I've been wanting to do this since I read One Thousand Gifts.  I'm not sure if I would want to do it all year, but I think it will make for a great 30 day experiment!
The Great Purge!
This is sort of a September/October combined resolution.  The plan is to assign each drawer, cupboard, closet, etc. a day and spend 30 minutes a day to clean out and organize each space.  Sort, give away, throw away.  Be ruthless and keep only what is useful, beautiful or sentimental.  My goal is to get rid of at least 1200 items.  {!!!}  Read just how I'm gonna do that {here}.  Clean and create orderly closets, cupboards and drawers...Just in time for the holiday madness to begin!
Buy and wrap every last Christmas gift and order Christmas cards {and mail them!}.
End November completely ready to enjoy the Christmas season and let PEACE {not panic} rule my heart in December.
31 Days of Giving to Others.
1 good deed a day.  Random acts of kindness, goodness, generosity and thoughtfulness.
Did you make a resolution?  Or 12?
